Technical Specification MIC Guard®:
Purpose of Product:
To provide protection of the internal piping and fittings area by a physical dynamic barrier.MIC Guard® forms a self repairing, reversable mono atomic film on the anodic sites, a process called chemical passification. MIC Guard® protects the inside of the entire system from complex corrosionprocesses.
Product Description:
Product shall be Non-biocidal, non-hazardous and environmentally friendly treatment system and is not harmful to the piping system, plastics or rubbers used in the fire sprinkler piping.
Technical Data:
Inhibitor shall be a micro thin dynamic chemical treatment system for the inside of a fire protection piping system. Shall be capable of migrating to unprotected portions of the piping system and shall not deteriorate, plug,clog nor creates debri,deposits or in any other way, harm the piping system,sprinklers, fittings and components normally used in the system.
Installation:
After pressure testing empty the system. Fill the system with a pre-mix water MIC Guard® .
Testing:
Should be performed every six months for inhibitor and bacterium concentrations, by a factory trained/certified contractor using approved installation equipment.
Warranty for new systems:
Product shall provide protection of the piping system for 10 years if the fire sprinkler system in question is initially treated according to our recommendation and our timely maintenance recommendations are practiced. Imtech Sprinkler Technology need to be informed immediately if a water flow occurs, other than normal itc testing, to inspect the system.
Environmental Safety:
The material is intended to be introduced in strongly diluted form into the metal piping system. The dilution of the product is such, that the danger classification in the MSDS is no longer applicable and discharging into the sewer is allowed.
Maintenance:
shall be perfomed as dictated by test results performed every six months.
Approvals/registration:
Product is REACH registered as broad spectrum corrosion inhibitor.
Product shall comply with NFPA 13, 9-1.5, 4.3, 15.1.5 and A 15.1.5
Product is tested and pass:
-DIN 51360 P1 and P2 -IP 125 -IP 287 -ASTM D4627-86 -
Product is thermic stable till 130 °C
